Cut the tape to length required that is going to be applied to the sitting out, deck area \/ gunwale area\u003cbr\u003e\n4. Radius (say 10-15mm) the corners of the cut tape, to reduce the possibility of the tape lifting in the corners etc.\u003cbr\u003e\n5. Repeat step 2 again to be sure all is clean on the surface.\u003cbr\u003e\n6. Warm up the area that is going to have the tape applied\u003cbr\u003e\n7. Apply the tape and pull the backing paper off while applying pressure to the tape.\u003cbr\u003e\n8. Despite the rules controlling the angle of the blade in the rudder stock, this increased released angle made the rudder more vertical. This also made tillers sit up higher over the traveller cleat. We then reduced the angle of the tiller head and thus was born the Aussie version of our world famous tiller. If you used one on a UK Laser - the Aussie tiller would hit the cleat and was not nice.
